Tom Tang, Vice President My motto: He who dares, wins Best thing I've ever experienced: Long, deep, uninterrupted sleep after 2 straight weeks of late night exam studying Proudest achievement: Performing Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 with a full orchestra What I think of LKS: What the students in the faculty see in LKS in name only is the sum of its parts. This is only half the story. More rewarding than the events we host and the meetings we attend are the people I have met and everyone that makes things possible. It has been an outstanding experience for me to have met such enterprising people who enjoy each other's company, who value each other's input and who supports each other in study and in practice as we approach a professional career. When I joined LKS as just a member, I saw its potential to bridge and connect the already small pharmacy community even closer together. I learned a lot from both my seniors and my peers. This year, I am humbled and honored to be elected Vice-President. From when I joined, the fraternity has grown tremendously in number and in spirit. I hope to match the zeal, energy and pace of this year's membership and make the experience as rewarding for everyone as it was for me when I first joined. My future endeavours: Professionally, I hope to be the best I can be in what I do and to take it to the utmost standard of care I can provide. Personally, I hope to learn a few more languages as it has long been at the top of my to-do list. Winni Ye, Advertising Manager My motto: We must see that it is not happiness that makes us grateful, but the gratefulness that makes us happy Best thing I've ever experienced: Watching a meteor shower after waking up at 3 AM in the morning, which felt absolutely surreal Proudest achievement: Went from getting a C in PE to an A by the end of Grade 10 (you never know what your body is capable of achieving) What I think of LKS: LKS is an awesome fraternity with so many friendly people with so much enthusiasm and energy. Helen Chow, RUSH Coordinator My motto: BE A MAN, DO THE RIGHT THING! Best thing I've ever experienced: I once entered a singing competition and made it to the semi-finals. During the competition I was eliminated and couldn't make it to the final round, but my 3 best friends (who came to support me even though it was a Chinese singing contest and none of them were Chinese) presented me with 3 HUGE bouquets of flowers at the end. They were so big I had trouble carrying them! Even though I didn't win, I felt like the winner (I was the only one with flowers..) and I felt SO loved and touched. I probably cried that night Proudest achievement: Paying for all of my tuition, books, housing, and food up to now entirely by myself. ^_^ What I think of LKS: It is where you get to meet upper year students, make awesome new buddies that may become life-long friends, and make fun of Nate. My future endeavours: Travel all over Asia. And no matter what I end up doing, or where I end up going, I just want to be as happy as I am now My idols: My dad.
