| Our MISSION
The mission of Lambda Kappa Sigma is to promote the profession
of pharmacy among women and advance women within the profession
by developing its members as individuals and leaders through
the support of fellow members while encouraging a high standard
of professional ethics and scholarship.
About ALPHA-LAMBDA CHAPTER at the University of British Columbia
The University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, British
Columbia, Canada, is home to the Alpha Lambda chapter, established
on April 28th, 1956. Alpha Lambda was the first international
chapter of LKS and the first LKS chapter to be established in
Canada.
Alpha Lambda is a co-ed professional pharmacy fraternity
that is open to all undergraduate pharmacy students. We work
hard in building a strong support network for members while
promoting advancement and leadership of individuals in the profession.
In addition to our many social events, we also have study resources,
scholarships and bursaries available to our membership.

About Lambda Kappa Sigma
Lambda Kappa Sigma (LKS) is an international, professional
pharmacy fraternity open to undergraduate and graduate pharmacy
students and practicing pharmacists. Since its establishment
in 1913, LKS has grown to more than 22,000 members, with 44
campus chapters and 36 alumni groups chartered internationally.
Lambda Kappa Sigma members are the future of the pharmacy
profession. Therefore, the Fraternity is dedicated to developing
the intellectual, leadership, and professional skills needed
to maximize their potential and strive for their personal best.
LKS promotes professional growth LKS educational programs enhance
professional development in the field of pharmacy, with an emphasis
placed on Women's Health Issues.
